Decision by BCI to pay Rs. 5000 as stipend to the New Advocates

So as to provide relief to the new advocates struggling in their initial stages, the bar Council of India has decided to pay them to pay 5000 as stipend per month for a period of five years.

The above stated resolution was passed by Bar Council of India at a joint meeting with the representatives of the State Bar Councils and State Bar Associations at Delhi. The sole purpose of this meeting was to discuss and formulate various schemes and proposals for lawyers.

This scheme can very well dealing with the Legal Service Authority Act, 1987. Those who will receive the stipend needs to provide legal aid to those unable to afford. The resolution also called for making necessary amendments in Legal Service Authority Act.
